Leurquin Fine Art Photography
Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Jeffrey received an Associate degree in Film and a Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL. He also studied for a short while at Brooks Institute of Photography and is currently working on his MFA in Photography through the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California. Currently working on his thesis, Jeffrey's focus for his project, "Monstrosities of Materialism," involves finding beauty in the grotesque of industrial architecture. Jeffrey shoots exclusively with film using large format, 35mm, and alternative processes including pinhole. Mostly a nighttime photographer, Jeffrey seeks to capture timelessness that his low-light image encapsulate. He searches for subjects that are overlooked or missed due to absence of light, and portrays the soul of that subject in the natural light of city and its night sky. Jeffrey received the 2009 'Award of Excellence' in photography at Art Street in Green Bay, WI |
